Spring Half Marathon and Spring Speed Training – 2019

Are you looking to get a jump start on your summer racing season?  Or are you fulfilling a New Year’s Resolution to get in shape this spring and summer?

Do your 2019 race plans include a half marathon in the spring of 2019?  If so, this training program will help you to achieve your goals, whether setting a personal best performance to crossing the finish line of your first half marathon.

Join us for training group long runs on Saturday mornings.  This program is an official training program in connection with the Wisconsin Half Marathon on May 4, 2019.  Training fits well for other half marathons in the spring and early summer of 2019, including the following Half Marathons: Vancouver (Canada), Illinois, Kentucky Derby, St. Jude Country Music, Big Sur, and Flying Pig.  We start and end our group runs at Road Runner Sports, 1435 North Kingsbury. We have nice warm facilities to store your gear while we run and to change into dry clothes following the training runs.

There is also a 7-week speed training program available to build your base for summer races.  The program runs on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. We meet at the Wilson Track, a multi-lane quarter mile track located at Wilson and Lake Shore Drive.
