Marathon and Summer Speed Training – 2019

Don’t train for a marathon alone.  Run with Coach Brendan Running along Chicago’s lakefront path on Saturday mornings, first group training run to be held Saturday, June 1, 2019.

This 20-week program will help prepare you for running or run/walking a fall marathon.  The training program coincides with the date of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 13, 2019, and the training schedule fits other half and full marathons in the fall season.  Coach Brendan will work with you to provide a training schedule suited to your needs and experience level.

Whether you are new to running or training for a Boston Qualifier, Coach Brendan can help you get the most out of your training.  He has prepared six training schedules, 3 for continuous running and 3 for run/walking a marathon. Coach Brendan will assist you in selecting the training schedule best suited to your current condition and your future goals.

He will work with you throughout the season to maximize your performance on race day.

There is also an 18-week speed training program available to build your base for summer races.  The program runs on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 starting on June 11, 2019, and continuing through October 8, 2019.  We meet at the Wilson Track, a multi-lane quarter mile track located at Wilson and Lake Shore Drive.
