At some point in an endurance race (half or full marathon), most runners face a psychological wall.  This often happens at some point in our training as well.

Come hear Coach Brendan share with you his experience gained over 87 marathons – in all 50 States and all 7 Continents – on dealing with the “Stopping Wish” as well as other psychological skills to get you to the start line and, on race day, the Finish Line.

Topics to be covered include:

  • What type of runner are you?
  • Understanding what motivates you as a racer and in training.
  • Signs on overtraining and how to correct them.
  • Psychology of training and racing.
  • Recognizing and handling ‘The Stopping Wish’.

Coach Brendan has been coaching runners since 1996.  He has assisted thousands of runners, run/walkers and walkers of all ability and skill levels achieve their goals of successfully completing running and walking events from the 5K distance up through ultramarathons.  His warm engaging presentation style is attractive to runners of all experience levels, from Boston Qualifiers to those just starting an exercise program.  Come hear what he has to say to you as you prepare to run your half or full marathon in 2013.
