Fall Half Marathon Training – 2015

You’ve  worked hard to get in shape over the summer! Maybe you’ve run a half or full marathon recently and do not want to lose that conditioning now that your race is over.

Coach Brendan’s 12 week Half Marathon training program “Fall Into Winter” begins Sunday November 1, 2015 with the first group run on Saturday November 7, 2015. This program will help you maintain the fitness you gained throughout the summer months and take you through the holiday season. Our goal race for this season is the F3 Half Marathon on January 23, 2016. A registration discount for the F3 is available to all  Coach Brendan Runners.

Get a head start on your new year’s resolution to get in shape or stay in shape and continue training into 2016. Don’t let your hard work go to waste (or your waist) during the winter months and holiday season.

Fall Into Winter Training Prices

Congratulations, Runners –

You may be looking towards a new personal best in 2016 for a half or full marathon distance.  Get a jump start on your training with ‘Coach Brendan Running’.  Group training for your spring half marathon starts in mid-February.  This 12-week training program fits perfectly with any half marathon in April or May.

Join us as we run in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, May 1, 2016.  Race registration discount available to all Coach Brendan Runners in the Spring Training season.

Spring Half Marathon Group Training Program

Join Coach Brendan Running for the 2016 Spring Half Marathon Training Program.

This 12-week program will prepare you for a spring half marathon in April or May and jumpstart your summer training.

Also available – an 8 Week Speed Training Session to get you on your way to that personal best race in 2016.  This 8-Week Program starts runs from March 8 through April 26, 2016.  It is the perfect way to prepare yourself for a faster race performance in 2016.

Training Group long runs held Saturday mornings.  Speed training on Tuesday evenings.

  • Start and end at Road Runner Sports, 1435 North Kingsbury (a short distance from the Lakefront running path).
  • Secure, dry and warm place for storing gear during training.  Restrooms available in the store before and after group runs.

Choose from six training programs Coach Brendan has developed based on your experience levels and training goals. Schedules include three continuous running training programs and three run/walk training programs (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced for both run/walk and continuous running).

Base-building, sharpening and tapering workouts are built into all half marathon schedules.  Coach is always available to answer your training questions at group training runs and via email.

Group Training Runners receive:

  • Detailed 12-week training schedule (Daily workout schedule)
  • Saturday morning group training runs February 13 through April 23
  • Guidance on good running form
  • Weekly training tips
  • Email access to coaches during season
  • Technical running shirt

Spring Speed Training

Get ready for faster races this summer with this early spring speed training.  This 8-Week program will prepare you to run faster in early summer races and set the stage for hard core speed training this summer.

It is recommended that you have a base of 25 miles a week for the last 3 months and have run a race of at least a half marathon distance in the last 4 months to register for this program.

Additional discount if you register for both the group training and speed training sessions.

Virtual & Individual Training 

If you can’t make group runs, virtual training is a great option. Virtual Training participants receive:

  • Detailed 12-week training schedule (Daily workout schedule)
  • Weekly training tips
  • Email access to coaches during season

No refunds or adjustments after the first training session for any reason, including injury. No proration of fees for any registrants after the first training session.
